Foxguard is a secluded thorp nestled deep within the ancient Pandorian Forest, serving as the home of The Foxguard, a noble group of Kitsune rangers and druids. This tiny community is dedicated to protecting a magical Fey Crossing, a gateway to the Feywild that only the truly worthy may enter. The Foxguard's members, despite their nobility and dedication, often find themselves unworthy of crossing, highlighting the crossing's high standards.
Foxguard is hidden within the dense Pandorian Forest, with its natural beauty and isolation serving as a sanctuary for its inhabitants. The village is surrounded by towering trees, winding paths, and hidden glades. The Fey Crossing itself is located in a serene, magical glen at the heart of the forest, guarded vigilantly by The Foxguard.
Foxguard was established many generations ago by a group of Kitsune who discovered the Fey Crossing and vowed to protect it. The founders, including the ancestors of the Hana, Yuki, and Kaze families, recognized the importance of the crossing and the need to keep it safe from unworthy intruders.

Foxguard's society is deeply rooted in honour, duty, and reverence for the natural world. The Kitsune of Foxguard live simple, harmonious lives, working together to protect their sacred charge. The village is self-sufficient, with each family contributing to the community's well-being.
The Foxguard's members are trained from a young age in both martial and magical arts, preparing them for their lifelong duty of guarding the Fey Crossing. They hold regular ceremonies and rituals to honour the Fey and the natural spirits, seeking their guidance and blessings.
Due to their secluded lifestyle, Foxguard's economy is largely based on self-sufficiency and bartering within the community. They gather what they need from the forest, hunting game, foraging for herbs, and growing their own crops. Occasionally, they trade with nearby villages for goods they cannot produce themselves, such as metals and specialized tools.
